Meet Kymberley — The Wedding Sitter Brides Trust
I'm Kymberley Johnson, founder of Kreative Sitters.
My business didn't start in a boardroom — it started in a 3-year-old classroom.
I was teaching preschool in Charlotte when a few of my parents asked, "Kymberley, would you watch our kids during our wedding?" I said yes. Then another bride asked. Then another.
I realized — brides were being forced to choose between the elegant wedding they dreamed of and the friends and family they wanted there because those friends had kids.
Seven years ago, I hosted my first official wedding childcare event. What parents told me after was: "Our guests actually stayed. Our kids had MORE fun than the adults."
That moment turned into Kreative Sitters.
I'm originally from West Virginia, raised my two sons in Pittsburgh, and built this company in Charlotte after earning my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Piedmont Community College, with certificates in Administration and Supervision. I spent years as a Director and Lead Preschool Teacher before taking this leap.
Today, my team and I have cared for children at hundreds of weddings and events across North and South Carolina and Pittsburgh.
Every sitter is interviewed, reference-checked, background-checked, CPR & First Aid Certified, and most hold degrees in Early Childhood Education. But more than that — we love creating that moment when a child leaves your wedding saying, "That was the best party ever!"
